Our Memorial Day Weekend wedding this year was one for the books - Julia and Louis planned a classic, elegant and quintessentially-Chicago affair and we were there to make sure the day went off without a hitch! The couple hosted their wedding at the stunning ballroom in the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, which is such a hidden gem in the heart of the city. Planning this lovely wedding was made even more special because Katherine had the pleasure of working with Julia’s sisters on their weddings as well! Julia and her ladies got ready for the big day at her parents’ gorgeous suburban Riverside home, while Louis and his guys cleaned up at the University Club, just steps from their wedding venue. Solo Salon did an incredible job making the ladies look beautiful, wouldn’t you agree?!

The weather could not have been more perfect and we took advantage of it! The wedding party spent all afternoon outside in some of our favorite spots with Amanda Hein Photography and This Charming Heart Videography.

Julia and Louis’ wedding ceremony was officiated by one of their dear friends, which made it so heartfelt. While we worked to flip the ballroom from ceremony to dinner and dancing, the guests enjoyed cocktails in the balcony. The space was completely transformed!

The guests were treated to a delicious dinner from Food for Thought and danced the night away to the smooth sounds of the Chicago Catz. The night was filled with so many personal touches, including heartfelt toasts from their family members and special dances including a traditional Irish line dance and the Hora. The dance floor was packed until the very end of the night!
