Why hire a planner during the pandemic?

One thing is for sure; it’s never too late to hire a wedding planner! In fact, now is the perfect time to consider hiring a wedding planner or month of coordinator while you continue to plan your wedding during the pandemic.

While hiring a wedding planner has always been invaluable, it is a good idea now more than ever, to hire one so that you have a point person to help navigate you through such an unpredictable time. While planners are certainly busier than ever, we do suggest moving more quickly on hiring one before their calendar fills up! Having a wedding planner can take a heavy weight off your shoulders. Wedding planners are here to serve as a great resource and help manage the logistics for you.

Most couples are unsure of where to even begin with the process of postponement or what their options are. Having a wedding planner is key to helping support you through what is an incredibly difficult and confusing process. This is a very new situation for everyone involved, but your planner has the tools needed to guide you through effectively, while laying out all of your options and finding new ways to be inventive.

While you are going through a very emotional experience the last thing you may want to do is send out emails to your vendors and discuss contractual agreements. You can lean on your wedding planner and trust them to streamline this process for you and make a new plan that puts you at ease. A wedding planner will coordinate with your venue and vendors to secure a new date, advocate on your behalf, review new or revised contracts, and help you secure new vendors, if needed. There is comfort in knowing you have someone in your back pocket who can manage all of the logistics for you!

Clover Events’ real wedding couple, Nazanin and Aaron, experienced postponing their March 2020 wedding and shared with us in a video interview why hiring a planner was an invaluable piece in their postponement puzzle. When Naz and Aaron had originally hired Jessica for Month of Coordination, they had no idea that they would find themselves in a global pandemic situation and just how important her role as coordinator would be.

As Aaron says, “One thing I told Jessica when we were kind of going through the craziness of the decision, is that if Jessica and Clover can navigate us through a global pandemic - then what can't they do for just regular weddings? The whole world is in new territory. Everything is unprecedented. So everything needs to be negotiated anew. And to have a coordinator is a huge asset for peace of mind - and if nothing else, during times like these.”
