Recap of 2020…What a year

It’s pretty safe to say we’re ready to usher in a new year. To say that 2020 has been challenging is an understatement, and it’s incredible to think that a year ago we had no idea just what was headed our way in March as we looked forward to all of the incredible events planned for this year. Typically our recap post is full of photos of beautiful events we were lucky enough to produce that year, but 2020 certainly had other plans, which included all but shuttering the live events industry for a large portion of the year.

With that shutdown came opportunities to pivot (who has their 2020 bingo card ready?!) and pivot we did, but in our own way. We chose to spend our time without events to produce digging into who we are as a company and a brand to build deeper, trusting relationships with our clients and vendor partners. We spent time re-evaluating our systems and processes to find more efficient ways to serve our clients. We sought out education to learn more about virtual events and continue to learn about how to produce in-person events safely and within state and local guidelines.

As a team we are committed to continued education on diversity in the events industry. We were proud to start a charitable giving program, donating to and highlighting a charity each month whose mission resonated with us a team. We’re excited to share our 2021 charities very soon!

We were fortunate enough to produce a handful of small weddings and corporate events, working closely with those clients to ensure the safest choices were made in the interest of their guests and their vendor teams. It’s clear to us, after this year, that people really value in-person connection and that love is not cancelled. We watched countless couples persevere through incredible obstacles and make tough decisions in order to ensure the health and safety of their guests. With some of the more expected elements of an event not possible in COVID times — packed dance floors, group photos, and large indoor events, to name a few — we worked with clients to brainstorm ways their events could still be engaging and fun with things like casino tables, outdoor cocktail parties, exciting musical performances and interactive at-home events. It has been quite the learning experience for our team!

Despite the obstacles and impossibilities of the year, we’re here and excited for what’s to come in 2021 and beyond. Perhaps the most exciting thing to come out of 2020 is our full rebrand to house our expanded vision, which we’re dying to share with the world! Be sure to stay tuned in early January to see what we’re talking about!

Wishing you and yours a safe and healthy 2021. Thanks for being here with us!
