A 2022 Retrospective
To say that 2022 has been a whirlwind is the understatement of the year. The live events industry saw a booming return in a way we couldn’t have predicted a year ago and we’re filled with feelings gratitude for all of the incredible opportunities that 2022 brought to our team!
All of these new opportunities left us fortunate enough to hire more team members and expand the types of services we offer our clients in a way that we haven’t experienced before. In 2022, our team produced over 30 events including weddings, social events, non-profit and association events, making it our most diverse year since the company was founded in 2014. We finished off the last of our Covid-postponement events, which was truly bittersweet as we had to say goodbye to those clients we’ve been working so closely with since before 2020. We also worked with several non-profit and association clients to help them bring back their in-person events for the first time since 2019. It was such a pleasure to see their guests excited to be together in person again.
Our events brought us to some of our favorite Chicago venues and also introduced us to some venues we haven’t had the pleasure of working with before this year. From The Peninsula Chicago to The Langham, Café Brauer to Chicago Illuminating Company, Revel Motor Row to The Old Post Office and many others, it was a year packed with beautiful and heartfelt events. We are so grateful to our vendor and venue partners that make our jobs easier and make it so fun to go to work!
Katherine, Clover Events’ Founder, continued her tenure with WIPA Chicago as Vice President of the Board of Directors and worked with her colleagues on the Board to grow the membership base, ending the year with over 100 members, and deliver top-notch engaging educational programs to the Chicago wedding industry. She is looking forward to stepping into the role of President in 2023 and leading WIPA through another successful year!
We were proud to continue our charitable giving program, donating to and highlighting a charity each month whose mission resonated with us a team. We’re excited to share our 2023 charities very soon, so be sure to stay tuned!
